An AI board of advisors for founders

An AI board of advisors is several AI models, each given an advisor's role, looking at the same decision and challenging each other. In Bordet the board sits in one room with a shared memory and a decisions log, so last week's advice is still on the table when you come back.

How to set up an AI board of advisors

A board is useful because its members see the same facts and disagree about what they mean. Set yours up the same way.

  • Give each seat a job, not just a name: one sets the direction, one looks at the company the way an investor would, one argues against whatever the room is leaning towards.
  • Put a different lab in each seat. Claude, GPT and Gemini were trained separately, so their views were formed separately too.
  • Brief the board once: paste your notes, deck or numbers into the room as a source, and every member reads them.
  • Ask the whole table. Each member answers, then replies where it disagrees with the others.
  • Decide, and say so. Confirmed decisions go into the decisions log with the reasons.
  • Come back next week. The board remembers the objective, the open questions and what you decided.

Who sits on the Founder's Board

The Founder's Board is a ready-made room with three seats. You can rename any seat, change its brief or swap the model behind it in the members list; nothing else in the room changes.

  • Strategist (Claude Sonnet 5.5): starts from where the company is today and says what it would do in your place this quarter.
  • Investor (GPT-5): runs the diligence a real check would get, on your side: what a lead investor will ask at the next round, and what you should have in hand before they do.
  • Devil's Advocate (Gemini 3.1 Pro): makes the strongest case against the option the room likes, and says plainly when a choice would be hard to reverse.

What to bring to the board

The decisions founders take to a board: when to raise and how much, whether to pivot, a price change, the first senior hire, what to stop doing. A board is most useful when the answer is not obvious and the cost of being wrong is high.

It is not a substitute for people with a stake in your company. The models cannot check private facts you do not give them, and they are not legal or financial advisers. Use them to find the weak spot before you take the decision to the people who will live with it.

Why one chat is not a board

One chat gives you one model's view, and asking it again mostly gets you the same view in new words. A board gives you views formed separately, and you see where they disagree. A board also meets again: a chat starts from nothing next time, while a Bordet room keeps the board's memory of your company, so the second meeting picks up where the first one ended.

Open a Founder's Board

Opens a new room with the board seated and an opening question ready for you to finish. Your first message goes to the whole board. Free to try, no card.

At the table: Strategist, Investor, Devil's Advocate.

Questions

How do I set up an AI board of advisors?+

Give several AI models a seat each with a clear role (for example a strategist, an investor and a devil's advocate), put models from different labs in the seats, brief them once on your company, and ask them the same question so they can challenge each other. In Bordet the Founder's Board template sets this up in one click.

Can an AI advisory board replace real advisors?+

No. It has no stake in your company and cannot verify facts you do not give it. It is good at finding the weak spot in a plan and the question you have not asked yourself, so you arrive at your real board meeting with better answers.

Which AI models should sit on the board?+

Models from different labs, so the views are formed separately. The Founder's Board uses Claude, GPT and Gemini (as of October 2026), and you can swap the model behind any seat at any time.

Does the board remember previous meetings?+

Yes. The room keeps a shared memory of your project: the objective and open questions on its board, a decisions log with the reasons, and any sources you added. Every member reads it at the next meeting, whichever model sits in the seat.

How much does it cost?+

You can try it free without an account, and a free account comes with $1.50 of credit. After that you buy prepaid credits from $5, or use your own API keys.
